The Tenino Earth Day celebration with be held on April 22, 2023 in the Tenino City Park. During the event participants will be asked to aid volunteers from the Friends of Tenino Parks in various "park cleanup" activities to be determined prior to the event.
New this year, thanks to the Lions Club and local event sponsors a total of $700 is available in the prize pool, and every participating school in the Tenino School District will receive a percentage of the prize money based on attendance. Yes, everyone wins! The event can also be used to complete Community Service Hours.
*A parent or guardian must be present on the day of the event to sign in and sign the event participation waiver. Parental participation is strongly encouraged and children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Event staff will not be available to wait for child pickup after the end of the event.
Schedule of Events
9:30 am --- Sign in at the Quarry House in the Tenino City Park to receive t-shirt and work assignments
10:00 am --- Work party begins. The work party will end at 12:00 pm
11:00 am --- Community resource informational booths will be active in the park until 1:00 pm
12:00 pm --- Group picture
12:15 pm --- Free lunch provided to participants by the Tenino Lion's Club
1:00 pm --- End of Earth Day event
