School Board Application ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HAPPY NEW YEAR TENINO!We can all work together to encourage new ideas, sound business opportunities and make our city a great place to live. Let's focus on Tenino's natural strengths and not follow traditional paths of development. It is possible to make our town an example to the world. You are an important part of Tenino's future! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------Westside Annex NewsIn 2008, the City of Tenino annexed 260 acres of the Alpaca Farm and Lemon Hill to accommodate its anticipated future population growth, and industrial and commercial development. This land is meant to contain a variety of office, industrial and commercial buildings, in addition to as many as 800 residential uses, and will fundamentally impact the growth of Tenino over the next 100 years. The Tenino Planning Commission is nearing the completion of a draft ordinance for the Westside of Tenino. Many of you filled out surveys and had your survey responses used in the crafting of the ordinance, but have not heard the results of the survey or how various responses were included in the draft. If any of you would like to talk about the survey results or what is included in the document, please give me a call. The Tenino Planning Commission will discuss the document at their meeting tonight, as well as at their meetings on October 19 and November 9, and will hold a Public Hearing on the ordinance on November 16, 2011.
